Our Impact and Goal for The Liam Finnerty Charitable Trust
Ardersier Primary School
We’re delighted to announce a donation of £1,000 to Ardersier Primary School to support transport for their upcoming swimming lesson programme & education trips.
Access to essential life skills like swimming or educational trips shouldn’t be determined by a postcode or a budget. Currently, Ardersier Primary School, like many rural Highland villages, lack a regular transport link to allow these activities, and the rising costs of private hires and local transport availability mean that school budgets are stretched thinner than ever. Without support, these costs often fall on families, creating a barrier that prevents some children from participating.
By covering these transport costs, we’re ensuring that every pupil can learn essential skills, safely and affordably, regardless of their financial circumstances.
A huge thank you to everyone who supports our fundraising efforts, it’s your generosity that allows us to step in and help our local schools when they need it most! ![]()

With the Highlands right on our doorstep, we believe money should never be a barrier to making memories. By providing over £800 in targeted funding, we’ve helped take the pressure off local families, ensuring that every child has the chance to go, regardless of cost.
Scotland has an incomparable connection to the outdoors and an abundance on our doorstep; it’s so vital to a child’s development that it’s now becoming a mandatory part of the Scottish school curriculum! Evidence shows that these trips aren’t just fun; they are life changing, especially for those from challenging backgrounds.
We met up with the kids and Acting Head Teacher, Karen Innes, who told us:
“Receiving over £800 has allowed some of our P7 children to attend their residential Summer Camp in May. This has made a huge difference to their families and we are hugely grateful. We know the memories made there will last a lifetime!”
We hope all the children attending their summer residential have an incredible time! We can’t wait to hear the stories! ![]()
Nairn Academy
We are proud to partner up with Nairn Academy to supply the school’s The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) project with 5 jackets from Scottish outdoor clothing specialists Keela Outdoors to be used time after time. In the Highlands, the outdoors should be available to all, yet the financial reality of equipment costs often creates a divide between those who can participate and those who cannot.
The DofE programme at Nairn Academy isn’t just about a certificate or spending time outdoors; it’s about giving young people the skills, self belief and resilience they need to navigate life’s challenges, long after they leave school. It fosters adventure and self development through experiences to last a lifetime.
