Andrew Finnerty’s Sallbach Challenge
On the anniversary of Liams funeral, his brother Andrew set out to complete the Sallbach Challenge.
The Sallbach Challenge is the longest ski circuit of the Alps covering 65 kilometers of distance and 12,400 meters of altitude in a single day.
Andrew completed the challenge on the 17th of January 2026 and was able to raise £590 for the Liam Finnerty Charitable Trust!
Munros for Liam Myles Finnerty
To celebrate what would have been Liam’s 30th birthday, Liam’s close friends Alex and Sammy decided to mark the occasion in a way he would’ve loved by taking on five Munros and inviting others to adventure with them. Liam was the kind of person who turned ordinary days into unforgettable memories, always bringing people together with his energy and humour. So, in true Liam fashion, they challenged themselves to get outdoors, have some laughs, and hopefully give a few people the chance to join in along the way.
In total Alex and Sammy raised the huge amount of £3,620.

Liam Finnerty’s 30th – Skydive for Charity
In memory of Liam, his cousin and close friend Harley Leith wanted to honour his adventurous spirit by doing something bold, something that reflects the courage he inspired in others. Since Liam believed that fear is overcome through action, not overthinking, a 10,000-foot skydive felt like the perfect tribute to celebrate his 30th birthday.
On 20th June 2025, at St Andrews Skydive near Glenrothes, 20 of Liam’s closest family and friends took the leap, all whilst raising funds for local charities in his name.
£3,925 was raised from the event which was split between The Liam Finnerty Charitable Trust, Team Hamish and Nairn Men’s Shed.
Sled Push Challenge
One of Liam’s close friends, Stephen Foster decided to challenge himself to a sled push challenge to help raise funds for local charities. The sled push challenge had Stephen pushing a 70kg sled across a 12.5 meter track one time for every pound which was donated.
On May 31st 2025, Stephen was able to complete his challenge with an impressive 573 lengths completed taking a total of 8 hours.
In total Stephen raised £608 for local charities Team Hamish and Nairn Men’s Shed.
